Flipped Assignments
The term 'flipped' as it refers to education can mean many things. Typically it means that you assign your students sometype of homework, screen cast, etc... and they come in ready to take on the task right away. I personally make this my own by applying it different ways to individualize instruction as much as possible.
For example: If I am working on 'measurement' and I have current MAP data with students on different levels - I can create, find, or organize different ways for students to collaborate, communicate, critically think, and be creative with different assignments on their level based on the same topic. See below for examples using math:

Then I would ask the student to complete a protocol or a task similar to the pictures below:
